Down to the wire posting

Eh, crap.  I almost forgot to post today.  Today was a day of running around and erranding.  There is such a thing as too much erranding.  By about 3pm I was ready to start whining that I wanted to go home.  I think at 4:30 I actually did. 

The final three papers I was waiting on were rejected from the conference, but I’m in a state of totally not caring because I did get one accepted.  I haven’t heard of any other acceptances yet (and granted, I’m in CT and not right in the thick of things), but I am so happy for me.  My next steps?  Register for the conference and see about getting some Cubs tickets.  Hotel and plane can wait.  Important things first!!!

Since we erranded all day, there’s not much exciting to share.  However, I will say it here publicly (as I already did on Twitter).  Today in CT it was in the low 50’s, damp and raining most of the day.  The weather sucked.  I finally gave in and admitted my boy is right - weather is better in the South.
