I kind of glossed over something on Tuesday, but it is so freaking awesome I have to give it it’s due and share it with you.
What is this you ask? It’s a site that tracks airfare for you. You put in the dates you want to go somewhere (the only downfall is that it only has 5 airlines to chose from right now, and sometimes the ‘tag’ function doesn’t always work on Delta). It pulls the price it is that day. Then – and this is my most favorite part – it emails you when the price changes in either direction. This eliminates about 5 different searches I usually do when searching for plane tickets because all I have to do is sit down and wait for things to be emailed to me. This wonderfulness is how I was able to save $50 on my airfare to Chicago. Fantastic. I highly recommend it.

Yesterday was the 2nd day of speeches in my class. Sadly, there has been nothing really shocking/funny/interesting with regards to the speeches yet – but before class, we were greeted with a huge thunderstorm. As I sat in my office prepping for class, we actually lost power for about 5 minutes in our building. I checked for any tornado warnings or class cancellation messages from the University – none. So I figured kids would be late. 3 never showed (and it was a speech day, hello, here’s your 0!!!).
As we were sitting there waiting for class to start, we were listening to these loud cracks of thunder – one so loud it made me jump. One of the girls in my class started to cry. Yes. Cry. She was scared. Of course, she was sitting right next to the window…so…excuse me for not being too sympathetic. If you’re that scared, don’t sit in front of the window during a storm where it is thundering and lightening.
I was proud I didn’t laugh.

thanks for the Yapta tip
you should be proud, sometimes it takes a significant amount of personal strength not to laugh at them
