Friday at last!

This was definitely a week where I thought Friday would never come, but alas, here it is.  Yay!  So here’s my random thoughts for the day:

1. I’m not driving to school today.  I will be driving somewhere today.  Not to school.  And for some odd reason, the fact that it isn’t school makes me happy.  I guess watching the gas needle in the car sink a little lower will be less painful.  Go figure.

2. Yesterday on my way to school one of the truck stops was advertising gas at $3.81 a gallon.  When I came home, it was $3,94.  I want to know how gas jumps $.13 in a span on 12 hours.

3. Facebook makes me laugh.  Looking at people’s status updates is kind of addicting

4. Today I am going to visit friends who’s little boy is recovering in the hospital after surgery this week.  Last week, she told me about a cookie at Whole Foods that she loves – a pecan pie cookie.  She said it’s the goodness of pecan pie in a cookie and is awesome.  Being the good friend that I am, I’m going to stop at Whole Foods today and get her some – but I’m definitely going to be sampling them myself!

5. Today I am also going to do my stats assignment that’s due Monday.  I expect that I’ll try to do it today, and then still have to do work on it tomorrow, and possibly Sunday.  Seriously – when I run my own research, I’ll use a computer program.  Blah blah, hand calculations are a good thing to learn, whatever, but isn’t that why technology was invented?  Sheesh!

6. I ordered 6 books from Amazon this week.  Two have come so far, including my favorite:  Statistics for People Who (think they) Hate Statistics.  Cute title, but trust me…I know that I hate Statistics.

TGIF everyone!

  1. Sounds like fun, being able to drive somewhere other than school!! The pecan pie cookies sound very interesting. I’m not a big pecan pie fan…but if they come up with key lime pie cookies, I’m all over those ;)

  2. I’m ashamed to admit what a Facebook addict I am. It’s like you can stitch together the snippets you see of people’s lives into a whole story, right?

And pecan pie cookie? Oh yum. Is it in the bakery or in the cookie section? And why do I feel like NY might not stock it? Couldn’t resist…

  3. TGIF to ya! Jealous that you have a whole foods, but you can keep the pecan pie cookies. I’ll take chips and cheese :-) salty over sweet

    have a great weekend!

  4. Facebook is fun!!

    Yay for six books!!!
