The first couple this week are all part of my photography challenge/assignment I joined in on over at Nicole B’s. The assignment is macro photography, which quite frankly, I’m really bad at … so I figured this was a good way to try to get better!
Shell
Here’s lookin’ at you! (I think I screwed up with what I chose as the background here)

I tried to get just her nose, but she is not a good portrait taker – she wouldn’t sit still!
Some more non-macro’s…the setting sun on campus…
On Friday, my drive home started out looking like this:
Exit 86 has always amused me…must be from too many years working in restaurants and bars in college…
Right about here, the view also started to change to this
Then this
And finally…you guessed it!
Rainstorms are either good times to curl up with someone/something you love….

I love storms too, I like to watch the sky changing colors and growing dark and threatening!
The kitty pictures are my favourite ones ! My cat is too shy to pose for me, so there you have it, I never get a decent portrait of her!

Wonderful shots (as always) for your Weekly Winners … (the 86 off ramp IS a bit amusing now that you mention restaurants)… and the last two of your black cat remind me of Ms. Kitty who ‘adopted’ me some years ago (and who’s been featured in some of my Camera Critters posts previously … but my fav is the lazy cat underneath the green cat toy pix!

Love them all – love the shell!
One suggestion: try to crop it off center and without the tiny bit of background distraction. Have you tried to lighten it up a bit and boost the colors a tad?
The flowers after the rain are great as well – good job
