I didn’t even turn my computer on today until almost 3pm.  I was running from meeting, to meeting, to library, to class…and when I finally got to sit down, read the email, and start doing work, my computer screen flickered…and then half froze.

I can’t even describe what happened, but needless to say, the screen is most likely fucked.  I called Gateway, and they nicely informed me that I am no longer under warranty, and they can’t help.  Bullshit!  As I told the guy, I bought more than a 1 year warranty.  I’m a full time student, and there’s no way I was stupid enough to buy only one year of a warranty knowing I’d be in school full time.

I’ll have to go hunt through the basement to find the box with the receipt.  Because I totally have time for that.

The good news is, my tech god and friend Brian is going to save my ass in a major way.  I ordered a new screen tonight, and because he is my tech God, he can replace it for me and pretty much save me a few hundred dollars.  Take that, Gateway!  For this, I love Brian.  I hope each and every one of you has a Brian in your life.

But for now…I have 5 chapters to read tonight, because I’m now behind because in addition to this joy, when I got home, we had no internet or phone.  And after a promise of a tech coming out tonight to fix it, they called at 9:30 to tell us sorry, it’ll be tomorrow.  Thankfully, the internet fixed itself.  I didn’t tell the cable company that though.  They got the bitchy attitude, and I made them reschedule for tomorrow night.  I don’t care if the internet still works tomorrow night, they can haul their asses out here.

I’m so crabby.
