Well, my bracket for this year’s basketball tourney is in the toilet, so I’m just watching UConn now and hoping they go all the way. I’m taking a break from paper prepping for the conference deadline on Wednesday, so I figured this meme I stole from Seraphina at Fishing Around was a good brain release!
1. What is your favorite sit-down restaurant?
Ben Benson’s Steakhouse in NYC.
2. What food could you eat for 2 weeks straight and not get sick of it?
Ice cream. Cookie Dough. I could eat it for a MONTH and not get sick of it.
3. Have you ever had anything removed from your body?
Cysts.
4. What is the last heavy item you lifted?
Weights at the gym.
5. Have you ever been knocked unconscious?
Yup. When I was 12 and at gymnastics training camp, I slipped getting into the shower and hit my head on the wall behind me. I still have a dent in my head from it. That might explain a lot…
6. If it were possible, would you want to know the day you were going to die?
Maybe? If it were really far off, then sure. If it was tomorrow, then no, because that would piss me off.
7. If you could change your name, what would you change it to?
Annie! But I don’t think I’m cute enough for Annie.
8. What’s your goal for the year?
I have way more than one goal – in the spirit of the schoolwork I’m doing right now, I’ll say it will be to not lose my shit about the massive school things I have coming up.
9. Last person you hugged?
My boy.
10. First place you went this morning?
The gym! I’ve been on such a good roll lately! When we got there, I almost quit after 5 minutes, but I pushed through.
11. Do you always answer your phone?
Hell no. I barely answer my phone. I’ll only answer it lately if I’m not in the middle of schoolwork, which lately, is never.
12. It’s four in the morning and you get a text message, who is it?
No one. My friends know better than that.
13. If you could change your eye color what would it be?
I would go for green all the time. My eyes change color, but I really like them when they are green.
14. What’s on your wish list for your birthday?
Ummm? Ask me again in August.
15. Does the future make you more nervous or excited?
Excited. I think the future is going to be a lot of fun.
16. Do you have any saved texts?
Of course!
17. Ever been in a car wreck?
A couple – one was when some dipshit crossed over in to my lane and absolutely slammed in to my car – hard enough to flip it. I was 17. The only other one was when my brakes failed, and I ended up running a red light and running in to the side of the bus. That wasn’t embarrassing at ALL.
18. Do you have an accent?
I don’t think so. However, I have been told that I have a flat, neutral accent. If it’s neutral, then doesn’t that mean I don’t have one?
19. What was the last song to make you cry?
Oh man…I can’t remember.
20. What did you do last night?
Went to pie day with my boy and Brian and Brian’s daughter, stopped by DSW on the way home for some new high heels (since I the ones I have I managed to gouge a huge chunk out of the toe of one, and that doesn’t really scream professional), and then worked on stats for one of these conference papers. So hot.
21. Have you ever felt like you hit rock bottom?
Yes. I hope to never ever be back there again.
22. Current hate right now?
My hair. Everything about it. The style, the color, the length.
23. Met someone who changed your life?
Absolutely.
24. How did you bring in the New Year?
Ummm…we invited friends over, but they ended up cancelling on us last minute. I think we just went out to dinner and chilled at home. Understand that we were both coming off of about 3 weeks of travelling/not being at home, so even though it sounds lame, it was pretty perfect.
25. What song represents you?
I have no idea. Something that makes people smile, I hope! (It doesn’t help that the McDonald’s commercial just came on with the fish, and all I hear in my head now is “Give me that filet-o-fish, give me that fish”)

I would not want to know if I was gonna die Id just panic and not live.

Hmm I’ll have to try that steakhouse! I’ve never heard of it. And too funny on the accent. I’ve been told the same. Think it definitely fades over time as you move around.

I won’t gloat but we beat you! Yay. It does wonders to the pretend bracket I have in my head.
