Check your facts…

I have to borrow this story from one of my friends and classmates about a student he is teaching this summer.  I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes when he told me.

He is teaching about media history.  In an essay that was just turned in, he said one girl wrote all about how Thomas Jefferson used the radio during World War II.

Say what?

I cracked up.  What made me laugh even harder was watching the face of our other friend, because it took him a second to piece it all together.

My friend, the course instructor, said he just wrote a big question mark on the paper and wrote “I don’t even know how to grade this”.

I’ve heard of getting F’s, but getting no grade takes talent.

  1. What? You mean Thomas Jefferson didn’t use the radio during WWII?

    *giggle*

  2. You’ve got to be kidding me. Radio? EVERYONE knows Jefferson was rocking the iPod during WWII.

  3. Scary, but awesome story.

  4. It’s probably just a typo… I’m sure she meant:

    GEORGE Jefferson.

    :-)
